Beyond Silence
 Beyond Silence! The Voice of Child Sexual Abuse is a collection of stories by twelve Island women capturing their experiences of child sexual abuse and their collective wisdom on how to prevent it.
Beyond Silence! takes a fresh approach to the ongoing work of child sexual abuse prevention. Focusing on the knowledge of adult survivors, this project has the potential to dramatically change the ways the community responds to child sexual abuse.
Twelve Island women gathered to find their voices through writing to unlock a place within. A place that holds memories and wisdom. What emerged are twelve powerful stories, poetry pieces and imagery. A collection that will inspire each reader into joining the effort to protect children.
These twelve stories will be compiled into a book, translated to a stage production, DVD and workshop series all to empower other adult survivors to educate community, and to prevent child sexual abuse.
